Our San Francisco couple, Priya and Jeff, had their wedding featured twice on Maharani Weddings today and couldn’t be more excited for them!
Simply Sunshine Events given a call about a year ago by Priya asking us to help her plan not one, but two wedding ceremonies. She wanted two distinct ceremonies – Hindu and Christian – to celebrate their interfaith marriage. This was a challenge that we absolutely had to say ‘yes’ to!
We started the planning and designing with them a year out from their wedding to ensure that both religions and cultures were portrayed and was truly a celebration of their love together. We designed their Mandap, Christian ceremony altar, cocktail hours (yes, there were two of those as well – are you starting to see a pattern??) and their reception space. We had approximately 400 guests in attendance and wanted each of their tables to feel special! In doing so, we created a number of different tablescapes to make the event design come to life and so nothing felt too cookie-cutter.
